INTERVIEW

Is There a Message in Your Novel That You Want Readers to Grasp?

That nothing is ever easy. Things won’t just fall into your lap. You have to work through
life and run with the punches, trying to dodge them as they come.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

I think too much. Instead of letting the words flow and the ideas to take form, I over think
it and end up messing it all up. Same thing also happened in Math at school. Oopsie!

How many books have you written and which is your favorite?

I have written 2 novels and 1 novella. I can't really decide which one is my favorite...
hmmm, maybe Fallenmore. I really love seeing Jade struggling with her inner darkness. I
believe that we all go through that in some kind of shape or form.

If You had the chance to cast your main character from Hollywood today, who
would you pick and why?

OHHH, I love this!!!!
Okay, here we go:
Jade Lovecraft: Elizabeth Gillies
Blake: Maxwell Zagorski

Avan Blackwell: Brant Doughtry
Claire: Isabel Lucas
Nate: Austin Butler
Lilith: this one is tough, but I guess it would be someone like Megan Fox (minus bad
acting) with red hair.

When did you begin writing? How long did it take to complete your first book?

I always liked writing. I actually started writing movie scripts when I was about 14. I
always had ideas for books, wrote a few pages and let it die. It was in the summer of
2011 that I decided I wanted to really finish this new book idea. Feathermore was born. It
took me 2 months to write it and another month to edit it.

Did you have an author who inspired you to become a writer?

Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga really gave me that push that I desperately needed. I
loved the simplicity of her writing and how easy it was to become the MC. I wanted to be
able to provide the same feeling for readers.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?

Seeing it play out in my head. I close my eyes and imagine the scene, the surroundings,
the emotions each character is feeling, the way they move and talk. That is really fun.
Another great thing is when you write THE END!

Describe your latest book in 4 words.

Dark. Mysterious. Romantic. Tragic

Can you share a little bit about your current work or what is in the future for your
writing?

I am currently working on the third and final book in the Feathermore Trilogy. I am so
excited, yet sad, that it will all end!

Thank you Cami for hosting me here today at Reader Addiction! It was a lot of fun!

When darkness consumes you; will it be hard to find the light?

After Jade's world was torn apart, she is unsure of where she belongs, if anywhere at all. Deceived by those she trusted the most, she must now accept her fate and the life that lays before her.
The voices are back but this time, they are trying to lure her into the darkness. But could they be telling her the truth? That the only person she has been able to trust since the death of her boyfriend, Avan, is lying to her too? If the voices are right... Could she really trust him?

In Fallenmore, the second book in the Feathermore Trilogy, Jade will embark in a quest through the pits of Hell. The question now is: once she is in, will they ever let her out?
